Big Blue - Honda CB125 Cafe Racer

You know what?....fuck it. I'm going to try a get as many CB125's on this site as possible cause they be the shizzz. That's right.....the......shizzzzzzzzzzzzz (that's ghetto language, look it up). Also, I get this feeling every time I find an awesome 125 custom Mark sheds a single tear. Anyway, check this baby out....

This bike comes from a rugged fireman called Jason Moore who runs a tidy little custom "shop" out of this 2 car garage, you can check out some of his work (which will most likely be plastered all over this blog in weeks to come) at his website here.

This 74 Honda CB125 came to Jason as a non runner, the tank was beat up, bars were bent and it looked like an all round shit heap. As with all CB's a little tinker got the motor running and Jason rode it round in its dilapidated state, duct tape seat and all!

After enjoying the bike, it was stripped down. The frame and motor where given a lick, a CB100 tank was dropped on which Jason had to lower about an inch or so to get the levels just right. The seat was pinched from airtech but required chopping and re-fibre glassing to make it look right. The old 6 volt system was stripped out and a 12 volt system with all electricals in the rear was fabbed up. This allowed for the modern blinker/light system and see-through frame.

Jason pulled some forks off a 78 and made some modifications to run the CB100 front drum. Chopped, welded and hammered out a high pipe with an internal baffle. Combine that with some clip-ons from the UK, machined to fit the original throttle setup, paint from Don Valenz Auto Body, some upholstery by Cal Fast and some custom cables from Motion Pro and Boom! CB125 goodness!

Jason, love your work! Look forward to featuring some more stuff from you in the future!

Your move Marky-boy!

I got a cb100 for the girl, and I love that thing. Got it going 75mph once. (downhill). She hasn't let me cafe it yet. It'll happen though.
